We are a lawpractice with an emphasis on employment and equal opportunity matters for employees and with expertise in all aspects of litigation before courts and tribunals.
Martin Willoughby-Thomas has been involved in workplace and equal opportunity matters for many years as a lawyer and a trade union officer.
He established his law practice in 1993 and has been involved in a number of significant cases.
One of the primary objectives of the law practice is to assist individuals who have deserving claims to gain access to justice.

The legal issues which the firm handles include:-

Fair Work, Employment Law and Industrial Relations - including employment contracts, breach of contract, breach of awards and agreements and statutory entitlements, unfair dismissals, unlawful terminations, adverse action/general protections, workplace rights and disciplinary proceedings.
Discrimination/Equal Opportunity - including discrimination and harassment based on race, colour, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, marital status, family or carer's responsibilities, pregnancy, religion or political opinion.
Administrative Law - including freedom of information, privacy matters and reviews of government decisions and actions by courts and tribunals.
Human Rights and Social Justice - we also handle cases involving issues of human rights and social justice.
Litigation - in addition to employment and discrimination litigation, we also handle some general litigation matters.
Advocacy - we often handle appearances before courts and tribunals ourselves and thus we act as both solicitors and barristers.
We do not however handle criminal law, family law or workplace injury matters. Nor do we handle more general solicitors matters such as wills, property or conveyancing.
